Ing. Kenneth P. Camilleri graduated with a B.Elec.Eng. (Hons.) degree and has
been with the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Malta since 1992.
In 1994 he earned the degree of M.Sc. in Signal Processing and Machine
Intelligence from the University of Surrey, UK. He is currently doing research
in automatic texture segmentation through the use of Gabor Expansions towards
the degree of Ph.D. with the Centre for Vision, Speech and Signal Processing
of the University of Surrey.

Ing. Camilleri is actively expanding the capabilities of the Machine
Intelligence and Vision Laboratory of the Department of Microelectronics.
This laboratory facilitates education and research in these fields, and is
also aiming to meet the needs of industries seeking to develop partnerships
with the University to develop systems making use of technologies such as
image processing, machine vision and machine intelligence.

Ing. Camilleri has memberships in various academic and professional bodies
namely, the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE),
the Society for Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers (SPIE), the
Institution of Electrical Engineers (IEE), the British Machine Vision
Association (BMVA) and the Malta Chamber of Professional Engineers (CPE).
