Welcome to the Department of Industrial Electrical Power Conversion
The Department of Industrial Electrical Power Conversion forms part of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Malta. Its staff is responsible for teaching and research in the fields of Electrical Energy and Power Systems, Power Electronics, Electrical Machines and Industrial Applications. The Department strives to achieve excellence in these areas of engineering by its contributions to teaching, research and innovation in collaboration with both local and international partners and institutions.
Teaching
The Department delivers a number of study units within the Bachelor of Engineering and the Master of Science in Engineering degree courses offered by the Faculty of Engineering. The study units cover both theoretical and practical components of the relevant subject area.
Research
The staff members of the Department are actively involved in state-of-the-art research and development projects. Research programmes leading to M.Phil. and Ph.D. qualifications are also offered to postgraduate students in research areas where staff members are active.
